What are some ideas for some tattoos for couples?

My husband is in the military and we want to get tattoos before he goes overseas.
Whatever you decide on, never ever get your spouses name tatted on you!!!!!! Kids are ok, but not the spouse.
My hubby and I have matching artwork. It is a dragon, his is on his inside arm and mine is on my calf. I also have one matching one our daughter has, and hubby and daughter also have ones that match.
Think of things you have in common and draw from that. If you have kids you can do something that would match involving the kids names or something.

OK , thanks to the brilliant minds of yahoo users i have my idea almost ready .
so i have decided to not participate in sexual activity until marriage & i want a tattoo that expresses this idea .
so on my ring finder i am going to get" true love waits " going around my finger & when i get my wedding band it will cover it .
what do yall think ?!
i do plan on waiting a year regardless & me having the tattoo reminds me & will keep me serious about the whole idea .
good, that way, if you have kids, the guy wont leave you. really, i wish there were more people like you. any way, when u said marrige i immediatly started thinking two rings that are into each other (this is wat i mean but in wedding ring form http://www.bubbygram.com/jeremymnyc/rings.jpg )and one will have your name on it and when u get married, youll continue the tattoo with the person youve married. anyway your idea, is FANTASTIC.

i was thinking on the back of my neck but im not sure? does the back of your neck have any special meaning?
No where those are lame and everyone has them. Be more Original. The back of the neck doesn’t have any specific meaning nor does anywhere on the body. The tattoo is what should have the meaning.

Yes, I actually have the moon triple Goddess on my upper back neck area… with the incorrect energy of Taurus sun, Virgo moon (placed in the full moon of the triple moon Goddess) and Sagittarius rising. There are my tropical astrology placements.. beneath it is a picture of the ancient Goddess with a snake and the picture of Africa at her womb. This is the mother of all civilization. I am a teacher of women’s mysteries using the ancient lessons. I am also a Priestess of 5 traditions.
Once I figured out or learned that tropical astrology was not the accurate form of astrology, I added to an already existing tattoo which is an avenging angel on my left calf, I added above it the solar system (universe with all of the planets and each of my correct signs in them!) Aries sun, Scorpio rising, Leo moon which IS ME ACCURATELY.
I love all of my tatts! Its very powerful. I do not feel bad that my tropical placements are on my back…. if your wondering, its all energy and its all about learning. I love astrology as a professional and seek excellence of expression in every form of my life.
I have 4 other tattoos and will more than likely get a few more before I die.

Moon
Just how painful is a rib tattoo? ?

I am considering getting a large gothic rose style tattoo on my right rib cage and I was wondering if any other readers have had one done in this area and could tell me what the pain is like.
I already have 7 tattoos including on my foot, down my spine and on my wrist so I know what to expect but I’m nervous about the thought of this!
Any help would be appreciated!

I have a tattoo right over my ribs, it was my first one (and only one so far).
Before i had it done EVERYONE and i mean EVERYONE told me it would kill and was very painful place and advised me not to get my first tattoo there etc etc.
but, it was the only tattoo i wanted and i wanted it there so i went for it and for me, it didn’t hurt. on a scale of 1-10. 10 bing unbearable, i’d say a 4.
Although i understood what people meant when they talked about it being a irritating repetitive feeling. But as you have already you know what that’s like!
having my nipple pierced hurt 10 times more.
but everyone is different and feels things differently,
at the end of the day you will have a beautiful tattoo in a flattering, feminine place on your body - good luck!!

My boyfriend and I are going to get tattoos together and he doesn’t want something he will regret…he has always wanted a sun but now he doesn’t know what to get…i have one and i know what i’m getting with him i just told him i’d help him out and get him some different ideas…
