Do you like these tattoos, should I get them, can a 14 year old get one with parents permission?

My mom might let me get a tattoo as part of a christmas present if I can handle the pain. I was thinking to get one on my wrist going up my arm that said Tattoos on the Sky in Gothic lettering (not big though mildly small), one on my right outside area between my ankle and heel which would be a katana, the handle facing upwards a peice of white silk loosely wrapped around the blade with says Ichirin no Hana or single flower in japanese, and the silk would turn into thorny vines around the handle/hilt which would bloom into a lilly. then on my other leg on the area above my ankle (inside one) would have a pretty sun that says "Get to close from the sun, and you’ll only burn" (anyone reconize that quote?) what do you think? Would that special tooth numbing sutff you can pick up at the store numb the skin enough so it wouldn’t hurt, would I beable to get one if my mom signed, how much would they be (the biggest would only be about 3 or 4 inchs big height wise) etc.
I wanted a tattoo for as long as I can remember, and I know what I’m doing… I’m not stupid. and yes I know they will b e permanet. My mom is still a bit optimistic about them, and she was glad when I told her I ofund out you have ot be 18, sometimes she says yes only to get me out of her hair, so I think thats mainly why she said yes. She thinks there are bigger battles to pick… she actually is encouraging me to get a few peircings (nose, lip etc) because knowing me I’ll do it anyways evne if she says no, and she said if I had thicker stronger hair I could dye it as many colors as I want… she doesn’t care if I dres goth as long as its something appropiate for school, she even lets me go to concerts on school nights as long as she or my father are present. She said I can have it done when I’m old enough to get one. And they won’t be as big as I said I wasn’t actually looking at a mesuring tape when i said the height. I can always cover it up with makeup and I wear jeans alot/
Most reputable tattoo artist will not tattoo anyone under 18 even with parental consent.
are lower back tattoos trashy?

so, i really love tattoos and want to get a lower back one. i designed it, the style is kinda like a gothic butterfly
id get it only about 2-3 inches in diameter and i want it the classic blue/black ink
HOWEVER, im being told its trashy? i was talkin with my guy friends and they’re telling me i shouldnt get one cause its a signature "tramp stamp"
opinions?
that is what a lot of people call them these days but that shouldn’t stop you from getting it there. if its what you want then do it. don’t worry about what other people say.

I found this online and fell in love with it. It’s a side gothic rose tattoo, it’s pretty big, and I’d just like to know what an expected price range would be.
Normal tattoo places charge about $100-120 per hour and that tat looks like it’d take 5-7 hours so expect to pay $500-700.

You could start by researching the history of tattoos. You might even find some new styles you didn’t know existed.

My sister and i have been thinking about getting a matching tattoo for a while now. she turns 18 in april and i would like to make this her birthday present. ive been looking for about a year and a half now for different ideas, one would be a lock and key, however looking around lots of people have lock and keys so im just wondering if any of you have any ideas, such as symbols, phrases, or any websites where i can get somemore ideas.( im kinda of going away from the idea of flowers and hearts since i have gothic tattoos of these are already. i want something with color since my other tattoos are black and skin. thanks!!!

A few weeks ago, I was in the same boat. I was really interested in getting a tattoo but was having trouble making a choice on the art that I wanted to use. I had visited a few local tattoo shops and was very unhappy with the art that they had available. I also wanted a tattoo that no one in my city would have.
I recently purchased some art from http://www.theartoftattoo.info/ and it was really nice. They really had a great selection for such a low price. I was also surprised that there was such a wide variety. I am not exactly rich so it is a whole lot cheaper than buying by the sheet. The images aren’t free but for $30 bucks for a thousand images, it is pretty damn close.
In the end, I ended up going with a really wicked looking skull from The Art of Tattoo website. I hope that this is helpful to you. Good luck with your new tattoo.

I would say around $250-600, it’s not color, but it’s tedious shading. I think that it depends on what kind of artist and tattoo shop you go to, because artist charge differently based on personal accomplishment and integrity. But it’s only black ink, so what they are charging you for is skill…. so that is hard to rank. I would go and see a specific artist for that kind of detailed estimate.

There are many tattoos I would like to get, none colored, mostly words, most not incredibly intricate. Approximate prices for each would be lovely, but if you’re lazy you could give a guess for the price of 7 tattoos (vaguely described above). I know it varies by studio and whatnot, I’m just asking for an approximation, please.
All of these will be in black.
Tattoo 1 & 2:
One on each forearm, approximately an inch high and 4.5 inches long, both ambigrams which are similar in detail to gothic style calligraphy.
Tattoo 3:
On my hip bone, approximately 2 inches across and half an inch tall, basic infinity symbol.
Tattoo 4:
On my hip bone, surrounding the infinity symbol, small basic letters spelling out the phrase "All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain."
Tattoo 5:
Around my ankle, small not too detailed calligraphy spelling out the phrase "Any emotion, if it is sincere, is involuntary."
Tattoo 6:
On my inner thigh, small detailed calligraphy spelling out the phrase "Two distinct, divisions none…"
Tattoo 7:
Back of my neck, small gothic lettering spelling out the phrase "Carpe diem quam minimum credula postero."
I know that was a lot to read though, but I would love you forever if you could help me out.
I suppose I should have been more specific. For 5, wrapping around the ankle, possibly going up the calf a bit.
For 7, I guess what I’m picturing is more part of the back, but right below the back of the neck. Kind of between the shoulders if that makes sense.

5 Ankle is too small

I’m looking for a small-medium sized cat tattoo of either gothic or celtic/tribal design, any suggestions of free pictures of the design on websites (not the actual tattoo but the artwork for it) is what I’m after. Any suggestions for websites that would be useful to me?
