Do goth people have or get colored tattoos? I always thought I’d only get black, but then loved the way color

looked more vivid. Does this make sense? Anyone else feel the same? Can you still be gothic and have color tattooed on you?
Thanks!
If you love the look of the color, then go for color! Your tattoos should be about what you like, not what your friends or culture (in this case I am talking about other gothic folk) might define you as. Also, individuality is always a bonus (I was more punk than goth, but i think the same idea applies), and if someone accuses you of not being "goth enough" because you have a colored tattoo, tell him you didn’t get into it to conform to other peoples ideas of what you should or shouldn’t be :).

Hell yeah you can be gothic and still have color tattoos. To have all black would be boring, IMHO.
For example, a very popular goth motif is The Nightmare Before Christmas–something that wouldn’t have the same effect without bright, vibrant colors.

Well tattoos are for life and chances are that when you get older you will not still be "gothic". Get a tattoo that you really love. To not get something you really like because you think it wouldn’t make you look a certain trend is pretty silly. You can still dress and do you hair / make up however you want.

i agree with cassie, get a tattoo that has meaning to you, not just because of a fad, but either way, tats are goth, whether they are color or B&W (unless it’s something corny like a heart and a butterfly). but your first consideration should be if it’s meaningful to you

Of course you can
The little flashes of color look great against black anyway. I’m punk/goth looking and I love bright tattoos.
Get what you like, not what’s "socially acceptable".

Nope, no color for you, or they’ll come take your goth card away and replace it with a Limited Too frequent shopper card.
Seriously, I’d reconsider getting a tattoo at all if this is the sort of question you’re dealing with. I’m not trying to be condescending - it’s just that it’s a lifelong decision and it sounds like you’re either pretty young, where group identity is overwhelmingly important, or you aren’t yet comfortable with your own opinions.
You’re the one who’s going to have to look at the tattoo for the rest of your life (or at the place where the tattoo was after removal), it’s not a quick decision to make. If you’re not sure if you’re "allowed" to choose the design you like and still fit in where you want to be, it doesn’t sound like you’re entirely secure in who you are - if you were, you’d be like "he– yeah, I have a color tattoo, now wanna listen to some Bauhaus?"
(Yeah, I just totally showed my age, didn’t I?)
