Does the New Testament say anything about tattoos?

<< Question for Ladies, About Tattoos on hip?

  Am I evil/gothic ?O_O?>>

Basically i got a scarab (Egyptian symbol meaning eternal life) on my right shoulder, a gothic cross on my left shoulder, two arm bands, the Jewish star on my left peck and "Allah" in Islam on my right peck, the word "Memory" (which is my graffiti alias) in graffiti styled letters at the top of my back and the ten commandments down the rest of my back…

My body is kinda like a shrine to God so he shoudn’t mind too much?

And i know it says shiit about tattoos and piercings in the Old Testament but they refer them to the pagan rituals in how they honor their god… and plus he was talking to the Isrealites… and i’m not an Isrealite…

I just really like tattoos :\ mostly cos i’m an artist and they are all my own personalized style.

In the new testament, it says that our bodies are a temple. So tattooing is about the same as defiling the temple.

I found that after I got a tattoo of my dead brother’s name. I did not know at the time it was wrong and have repented since. What I believe is that marking of your body for the dead is wrong but tattoos are ok. you just want to make sure nothing on your body is demonic or pagenistic. hope this helped
