I’ve felt mis-trusted because im into gothic style stuff, i hate any kind of discrimination and wondered what other’s thoughts were on the subject?
I have had neither of those, but once i had a mohawk just to see what it would be like. I was treated way different

I can say that I have 5 tattoos and had 3 piercings, but guess what…u cant see either one!!! Because i know that in cooperate american body art is "unprofessional" i chose to get tattoos in places that cannot be seen. However, I do not think that people with tattoos should be discriminated against, hell, its like wearing clothes!!!

I’m sure you have been treated and judged because of your look, but I’m not sure that’s discrimination. You choose the way you dress. You choose your piercings. Discrimination is for people who can’t help their limitations, challenges, or appearances.
Everything in life is mixed, good and bad, including the way we dress and do our hair. You enjoy looking the way you do, and perhaps that’s the most important thing but don’t expect that people won’t notice it or make value judgements, right or wrong, about who you are.

There is always discrimination against a specific group. I do not understand piercing or tattoos. I am much older than the the generation that would usually be associated with tattoos and piercings. It is common during all ages and generations to ridicule that which you do not understand. Maybe, we all should try to understand before dismissing other people.

I feel it really depends on what type of piercings and the design and placement of the tattoos.
I.e. snake bites versus a more subtle nose ring; a hideable shoulder tattoo versus a neck tattoo..
I have a large tattoo of an orchid on my right inner arm (and I’m right handed).
The design isn’t offensive, but the placement is sort of obnoxious so sometimes the older people I have to deal with at my job are a little judgemental.. RARELY, but still.
And more specifically, the older Asian customers because I’m Chinese haha.
