<< Would a "Thor Mit Uns" tattoo in a gothic, 19th-century German font look cool?
I am considering getting a large gothic rose style tattoo on my right rib cage and I was wondering if any other readers have had one done in this area and could tell me what the pain is like.
I already have 7 tattoos including on my foot, down my spine and on my wrist so I know what to expect but I’m nervous about the thought of this!
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks
x
Thanks for the help guys! I appreciate it. I guess the old saying is true, no pain no gain!
I have a tattoo right over my ribs, it was my first one (and only one so far).
Before i had it done EVERYONE and i mean EVERYONE told me it would kill and was very painful place and advised me not to get my first tattoo there etc etc.
but, it was the only tattoo i wanted and i wanted it there so i went for it and for me, it didn’t hurt. on a scale of 1-10. 10 bing unbearable, i’d say a 4.
Although i understood what people meant when they talked about it being a irritating repetitive feeling. But as you have already you know what that’s like!
having my nipple pierced hurt 10 times more.
but everyone is different and feels things differently,
at the end of the day you will have a beautiful tattoo in a flattering, feminine place on your body - good luck!!

I feels like a spine tattoo. Like a normal tattoo, the pain becomes just numb till where you don’t feel it. But what you do feel,is the needle is vibrating your bones. It just gets annoying

I got a dragon done that took 15 hours to do all at once. for sitting there that long was painful, but worth it, and the other side I got a rat that took 6 hours. and that hurt even more. but ya painful and worth it.

its sore cos its on the ribs, its one if the painful places to get it done but some tattooist’s can use numbing cream, i think you say you want it when you book cos it takes about half an hour to start working, i’ve never used it before but friends have and they say its good.

I have one done on my side but it’s up more under my arm/ in line with my boobs(!) It really didn’t hurt more than my other ones. I don’t know if it gets worse the further down you go, but I didn’t find it that bad at all. Jx
