Will the black in my tattoo tone down a little after it heals?

I just got my tattoo touched up and part of it is too dark. Its a heart with red and black shading. This time I had it shaded with black where I used to have white and the black just stands out too much and takes over the tattoo. It makes it look gothic. Will the black tone down a little after it heals?

Yup

    Yes, it will.
It is always kind of a shock at 1st, because it looks like a Sharpie marker, or sticker, and just seems ‘too much’. But, it’ll settle down, and a protective layer of skin will form over it, and tone it down, and also, your hair will grow over it and also tone it down a bit.
    Be patient, it’ll be fine.
    luck~

Yep! That’s the one thing I DON’T like about black ink in tattoos… it fades a lot. Of course, that’s just my personal opinion… I think all-black tattoos look prettiest the day after they’re done. :] Anyways, yes, it’ll definitely fade.

Yes it will definitely tone down over time. After a few years it might fade enough to the point where you might want to have it touched up
