I am doing an informative speech on the history of tattoos. Does anyone have any ideas for a visual aid?

All About Nautical Star Tattoos

I do not have a tattoo yet so I cannot show my tattoo as a visual aid. So any ideas?
Henna or Woad (research for easy do it yourself recipes!) Non toxic, and semi permanent, and definitely pertinent to your topic. You can also use a sharpie to fake a tat (black for tribal!) or simply bring in photos of tats you like. BMEzine.com bodymod blog has some very interesting work, but more than half of it isn’t school appropriate, so research from home.

uhh. pictures of tattoos. You can’t really cut the tattoo off your mom or something and bring it in. You can always ask your classmates. But I guess that depends on how old you are. I would just bring in pictures or make a powerpoint or something.

Try a henna tattoo. A girl in my class lastyear did the exact same thing, but she had to demonstrate a henna because she diddent have any either
and it was quite interesting too!

A Tattoo would be an excellent visual aid.
Step One: Find an illustrated book on the history of tattoos.
Step Two: Scan one of the larger pictures.
Step Three: Turn picture into a digital file.
Step Four: Add said picture to PowerPoint Slide Show Presentation.
Step Five: Fun will be had by all.

obviously tattoo pictures would be a good idea but i think it would be cool if you would research the types of tools they used way back when. you could show the progression of the tools from when it started to today. i think that would be really interesting and also informative.
