Need ideas for matching best friend tattoos?

My best friend and I have been best friends for 12 years and we know that we will always be friends no matter what.
We want to get matching tattoos so we’re looking for ideas for a tattoo that we could both get to represent our eternal friendship
Please don’t tell me not to do it, that we’ll regret it if we ever stop being friends. We want to do this, we wont regret it, and we will always be friends no matter what. We have been through everything and nothing can ruin our friendship.

You’ve got some good answers already. Something you can each have 1/2 of or a symbol or quote that reminds you of each other.
My daughter and I share 1/2 of a heart on our wrists so that it becomes a whole when we grasp hands.

dont get anything in chinese or kanji lettering its so overdone and half the time the translation is wrong…
you could get friends forever and the date you met or something…….or music notes……paint brushes…..or something you have in common..butterflies, hearts, whatever you both like

Or, you could go with each others birth flowers, me and my sister did that. We got the same tattoo, my flower on top (since I’m older) and hers intertwined with mine a tad lower and to the right.

I’m sorry that seems a little ridiculous to me. Why you would go to strangers for suggestions on how to permanently mark the eternal friendship of people we don’t know is just silly. I’m not anti tattoo either.. I have 15 myself.. been getting them since 93… Try and come up with something yourself.. in the long run it will be better for the both of you

Why not get something that is just between the two of you? Like something from an inside joke, or maybe just a cool design that both of you really like. Or you could do like, two stars. Hers can have a design she likes in it, and yours can have the design you like in it.
Just have fun with it. Be creative and get something that means alot to the both of you. You could always do something with initials, but kind of blend them together to make it look just like a cool design.
