Need ideas for matching tattoos for best friends?

My best friend and I have been best friends for 12 years. We’ve been through everything together and there’s nothing that could break us apart. We know we will be best friends forever. We want to get matching tattoos but we cant decide what to get. We dont want to get chinese symbols because it seems like everybody has those these days and she doesnt like butterflies. Help with ideas?
Get cute feminine things, like a type of flower, or dragon flys, lady bugs, or butterflies. Or get words like joy, luck, love, happiness, in japanese tattooed somewhere! Good Luck!

So try to find a stuff between you 2 in your memo. and when you found it transfer it into a picture and you can do this picture in the tattoo shop. BUT split it in 2 shapes, one for you and one for her.
place: you can put your half in your left arm and she can put her half on her right arm.
by this way you have a special tattoo and have a special look, as when you both meet each time your tattoo with be completed.

you could each get half of a star on opposite ankles then when you stand together it becomes a whole star………Or you could have your artist draw up 2 puzzle peices that fit together and have one tattooed on each of you

Me and two of my friends have matching tattoos, the tattoos are a song lyric that we split up into 3 parts so each of us can have a part, as for choosing the song….its from a band that all 3 of us love and we took the lyrics and made them into a double meaning that applies to our lives so it isnt just "hey we really like this band" you know, cause that would be cheesy. We took our song and applied it to god which is something thats important to us, we were also careful to make sure that each part that we got could stand alone since we arent always going to be together sitting or standing "in order"….hope this helped.
