My husband is in the military and we want to get tattoos before he goes overseas.
Whatever you decide on, never ever get your spouses name tatted on you!!!!!! Kids are ok, but not the spouse.
My hubby and I have matching artwork. It is a dragon, his is on his inside arm and mine is on my calf. I also have one matching one our daughter has, and hubby and daughter also have ones that match.
Think of things you have in common and draw from that. If you have kids you can do something that would match involving the kids names or something.
Good luck.

Before you do that, go to a busy tattoo parlour…
Ask the artist how many cover-ups they do in a week for ex’es.

That is a very very sweet idea. I’ve always been afraid of the idea of couples getting tattoos because of the permanency of the tattoo and possible non-permanency of some relationships.
Definitely get something that has A LOT of meaning to both of you. Maybe something symbolic of a first date or your wedding. If you have kids, maybe something that has to do with that.
I would suggest against names or initials of the two of you. Something small and personal
Hope that helps!

You could do a heart with thorns around it with his name in it and then with your name in his tattoo
but it is totally up to you guys and another thing to do is get a tattoo of something that’s meaningful to you guys

never get a name tattoo… i actually saw this on a show on mtv, this couple had a saying tattoo’d on their wrist. one person had the 1st part of the sentence and the other had the last part of the sentence. i forgot what it said exactly but it was really sweet and the idea is kinda unique. pick a quote or something that means a lot to the both of you. you both will have seperate parts of a piece that comes together you know what i mean?

I have heard of like one person has a key, and one has a lock.
I thought that was a cute idea.

don’t get them. I’m sorry to say, but a great percentage of the time relationships don’t workout..
You’ll really regret it if you have something with accordance to him and vice versa if you were to ever breakup.

My friends have almost matching tribal armbands. Their names are part of the design so you have to know where to look to see it. I think it’s neat because it’s understated and not just somebodies name on your arm.

Anything but your names. Unless it is your mutual last name. Getting each other’s first names tattooed on each other is pretty much a death wish on your relationship. You have to find a symbol that means something to you both.

I agree with not putting each others names on you.. it’s such bad luck for ANY relationship. You could get lyrics from your favorite songs, if he is in the Air Force a bird, Navy an anchor etc. Just make it meaningful..

my husband and I are both getting matching tattoos in intimate locations that read:
friendship, fidelity, love
they’re the three most important things in a relationship

i wont suggest u to get his name or for him to get your name.. you should get something that represent him, and he should get somthing that represent you.. to me, its more meaningful.. thats my opinion..
